I just finished the book yesterday at the community pool...it only took me about an hour to finish a chapter...between the boys' shouting, "...LOOK at ME while I am jumping off the diving board..."
I have been eating up this book...at night-in the tent-after the boys' are asleep and sometimes waking up in the middle of the night to pick it back up with a headlamp on, so not to wake anyone else up in the tent...awe...close quarters are fun!
I love that Greg Mortenson has no other motives other…

I also agree that this book is incredibly inspiring. I have also set the book down for a few weeks and have still been thinking a great deal about it. Especially the part and pieces of how caring the porters are. Actually how caring the whole village is.
And than I think how angry I would be after what Changazi did, but Greg acts differently. He does get angry, but the way he acts based on the anger is so different. Very passive.
I do envy his free living, but how can you live a life that has you sorta attached to people and more attached to ideas? Or do I do that already?
